New Development in Going Green

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of a "menstrual cup," but I just saw an ad for one in my "Ladies Home Journal." I immediately thought of my sister Kasey. She's becoming obsessed with green. As in "going green." She uses canvas bags for shopping, which I applaud. I bought one bag to start with myself, but it's still under the third seat of the van, never used. I can't remember to do it.

She also recently started checking into O.B. tampons to avoid sending applicators into the landfills. Well there's now something new she can try. Apparently they're not all that new. Women first started using them in the 1930s. If anyone is interested, go to www.divacup.com. I don't know that I'll be taking this step anytime soon, but just thought I'd share...

  3. And if Kasey thought o.b.s are disgusting, wait and see what she thinks if she tries that thing!

  5. I think it would be awesome if it had a spout on it. You could just turn on the tap when you are on the pot and shot it down after. That way you don't have to remove and clean.

  7. I looked at the site, and the most disturbing thing I read,(of the very very many)was in the FAQ section where someone asked, "Can I use the DivaCup to collect fluids other than menstrual fluids?" (????????) I want to know, I don't want to know...
